Crafts in Nature
Bushcraft is about being able to survive in the wilderness using knowledge, skills, and simple tools. On this outdoor adventure, the group will learn how to work with wood and tools in a safe and practical way, and how to create something with their own hands that they can take home.
You'll work with traditional bushcraft techniques and learn to carve, chop, and shape wood into functional objects—from a butter knife or wooden spoon to simple camping tools that can be used right in the great outdoors.
Throughout the course, you’ll receive a thorough introduction to the safe use of knives and axes, as well as the techniques that make your work both efficient and precise. We’ll also cover maintenance, so your tools are always sharp, safe, and ready to use.
How it works
You’ll meet outdoors, where the instructors will be waiting with tools and materials. After a thorough safety briefing on using knives and axes, you’ll get started on your own project and work at your own pace, while the instructors guide and assist you along the way. The goal is for everyone to go home with something they’ve made themselves.
You'll learn that as you go along
- Basic Bushcraft Skills
- Safe Use of Knives and Axes
- Carving simple everyday items such as butter knives and spoons
- Techniques for Simple Furniture and Camping Gear
- Selection of Wood Species and Materials

Questions and Answers About Bushcraft
What is Bushcraft?
An outdoor team-building day where the team carves, chops, and shapes wood into functional items with their own hands. You’ll learn how to use a knife and an axe safely from scratch, and everyone can participate.
Does it require experience or good physical fitness?
No. Our instructors will guide you from the very beginning, and you’ll work at your own pace. It’s about patience and teamwork, not about being a craftsman.
Is it safe to work with a knife and an axe?
Yes. We always start with a thorough safety briefing, and the instructors are there every step of the way. The equipment is top-notch, safe, and well-maintained.
Where is it being held?
Outdoors in nature. We’re based on Zealand and the islands, and we’ll find a suitable location near you. Activities on Funen and in Jutland are available for an additional transportation fee, which will be included in your quote.
How many people can participate?
For groups of 20 participants or more. Each instructor can handle up to 20 participants, and we scale up by adding more instructors for larger groups.
Should we take something home?
Yes. You’ll go home with something you’ve made yourself—such as a butter knife or a wooden spoon—as well as new skills you can use again.
