Vognserup Estate

When you drive into Vognserup, you quickly understand why the place makes such an impression. The main building dates from the 1500s and is one of the few preserved late-medieval houses in Denmark. The estate was first mentioned as early as 1382, and Golden Age painters such as J. Th. Lundbye and P. C. Skovgaard would come here in the summer to paint the landscape. Today, the Teisen family runs the estate, and they have done so since 1921.

The Barn

The party itself takes place in the old thatched barn. It has been restored with great respect for the building, so the original roof trusses are exposed and lend the space its warmth. The barn is 1,000 square meters and consists of a large hall of 600 square meters that can accommodate about 240 guests and a smaller hall of 300 square meters for about 120. If you book the entire barn, there is room for approximately 350 people.

What can you do here?

The best thing about Vognserup is that the space can be transformed into exactly what you need. The barn has so much character on its own that it doesn’t take much to make it look great, but it can also accommodate a fully themed party.

For the Christmas party, for example, we can host a Gatsby-themed evening with a jazz band, cocktails, and gold accents everywhere, or hang white fabric banners and illuminate the barn with blue event lighting for a Christmas party with a “Winter Wonderland” theme. For the summer party, there are also many options, from outdoor dining with long tables under the open sky, teepee tents, a harvest festival in the barn, or food trucks in the courtyard. The only limit to your event at Vognserup Gods is your imagination.

Another great option for your company is a full-day corporate event at the estate. During the day, you can hold meetings and presentations in the small hall and head out to the park for workshops or activities. In the evening, we’ll set the table in the large hall for dinner and a party. If you’d like to host a conference, the barn can accommodate about 350 participants, and there’s fresh air and nature right outside the door for breaks.

Food, Lodging, and Transportation

We’ll work with you to figure out the food. Some people prefer food trucks, long rows of tables and benches, and a casual atmosphere, while others want a classic three-course meal served at beautifully decorated round tables. Both options work really well here.

If guests are staying overnight, we can set up glamping tents in the natural surroundings of the estate. It quickly becomes an experience people will talk about long afterward. Otherwise, we’ll arrange a bus ride back to either a hotel, your next mode of transportation, Copenhagen, or wherever is most convenient for you.

We handle all the planning and execution—from the initial concept and decor to the food, music, staff, and logistics. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the event with your colleagues.
