We are looking for a Freelance Event Manager On-site who will lead our events with passion and commitment. You'll have the opportunity to be on the front line of creating unique events for our customers - whether you have experience in the industry or just a lot of drive and desire to learn.
What does the role entail?
As an Event Manager at Go To Events, you'll have overall responsibility for ensuring each event runs smoothly and to our high standards. You'll lead a team of event professionals and be at the forefront of showing how things should be done.
You will be a role model for new employees and show them how we work - with high spirits, structure and a hands-on approach.
What can you expect?
You won't be sitting behind a desk. You'll be where the action is - out on the floor, facilitating, instructing and making sure everything goes according to plan and everyone has fun.
Your tasks include:
- Coordinate the team
- Lead activities and events
- Ensure great service and an experience customers will never forget
We believe in learning by doing, and you will quickly become part of the team and get to know the role through practice and sparring with experienced colleagues.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who:
- Want to take responsibility and be a visible presence at events
- Love being at the center of the action and are passionate about creating great experiences for others
- Is a natural leader - or would like to learn how to become one
- have a flexible approach and can work weekends and evenings - because the festivities do not follow office hours
Previous experience from the event industry is an advantage - but not a requirement. We value personality, commitment and the desire to learn more than an impressive CV.
It's not a traditional administrative job.
Many people associate event management with desk work and planning - but with us, it's about being active at the event itself. You'll be at the heart of the execution, and your passion for facilitating fun and engaging experiences is what we value most.
Already have another job or are you a student?
Perfect! We know that many people juggle multiple things - and we see that as a strength. Different backgrounds bring new perspectives and elevate the team as a whole.
We have a flexible setup with the possibility to swap shifts - but we expect you to be able to take shifts during our busiest periods:
Spring/Summer (May-June & August-September) and Christmas season (November-December).
